Katelyn earned her Bachelor of Science-Biology and her Master of the Arts: Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.  

She worked with children of all ages (5-20) for several years before joining Parkside. She also has experience in working with incarcerated individuals.  

Katelyn values diversity and works to create a supportive environment for growth and healing. She utilizes an integrative approach with her clients using her extensive experience and training with Cognitive Behavior Therapy, EMDR, and concepts of DBT.   

She believes strongly that the human animal bond plays a significant role in healing.  Katelyn’s therapy dog, Remi, works frequently with Katelyn in her Meadville office. Remi has been certified as a therapy dog through Therapy Dogs United.

Remi is a fun and intelligent Border Collie who loves children and makes it her mission to put a smile on every face that comes to therapy.

Remi loves to play ball and snuggle with clients when they come in for treatment. He is very intuitive to client’s emotions and is the best secret keeper!
