I want people to feel safe and be able to express themselves in a soothing and supportive environment. In that setting my clients can work towards their own healing and recovery.

I believe every person who enters my office is stronger than they realize. I work with clients on building from their strengths to address their symptoms and experiences, meeting them where they are at in their journey.

It is especially important to view and understand the whole person. I see our behaviors as one way our emotions communicate with us. When we are able to understand the purpose behind these emotions and actions, we can create a plan for change that will be effective and long lasting.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Thiel College and received my master’s in counseling from Edinboro University in 2006.

My career started by offering services to children in their homes, at their schools and in the community. Since then, I have offered services as a Behavioral Consultant, Mobile Therapist, Family Preservation Therapist, as well as an outpatient therapist in office and school settings. In each of these settings I have gained extensive experience and compassion with and for children, adolescents and adults.

I love art and majored in art education for my first two years at Mercyhurst University prior to pursuing my degree in Psychology at Thiel college. I will often implement art and creative strategies for an overall eclectic approach in sessions as there is a significant healing component to communicating and expressing oneself through art and creativity. Art can often be a safe and non-confrontational way to begin to open the doors and begin the path of healing and recovery.

I have extensive training and certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), training and certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and specialized training in Cognitive Processing
Therapy (CPT).

Our team of experienced therapists and compassionate support staff are here for you.

We look forward to meeting you.
