I am a highly motivated and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently employed part-time at Parkside Psychological Associates in the Erie office.

After starting my social work career in child welfare, I shifted my focus to treatment and research of adults and adolescents who cause sexual harm and individuals in the LGBTQIA community. 

I am trained in SPARCS (Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress) as well as seeking safety, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I am an active researcher conducting and gathering research on recidivism rates of sexual offenders as well as studying their perceptions of treatment and how that impacts rates of recidivism as well as the impact of grooming behaviors on the overall sexual abuse experience. I continue to conduct research and stay abreast of current treatment models, ideas, research areas of need and focus of treatment and treatment needs specific to individuals who commit sexual crimes. 

I am a professor in the social work department at Slippery Rock University and Edinboro University. Additionally, I provide trauma informed clinical supervision for individuals seeking social work clinical licensure. 

I stay connected to the community through presentations and trainings regarding diversity and cultural competency surrounding LGBTQIA struggles as well as awareness and understanding of individuals who have committed sexual crimes. 

I am very passionate about my clinical work and welcome individuals in all stages of change and hope they find my passion contagious and motivating!
